What has Megan been up to for the past week, you ask? Well I'll tell you. Megan has been celebrating the lovely day called Christmas (celebrating = eating artichoke spinach dip 'til she bursts, receiving and giving presents, lounging by the fire on Christmas Eve&Christmas Day& post-Christmas day). In addition to this Christmas hoopla, Megan has also resorted to being a hermit for 3+ days as she read The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. Megan's friends and family were worried when they didn't see her emerge our of her basement cave/room during these ~72 hours. When she did arise from the depths, it was only to grab food and use the bathroom.
Here's a few pictures from the Christmas festivities! They mostly feature Rocket and his fat self:
- went out to breakfast with Monique & Victoria!
- worked at the preschool camp for a while, laughed at seriously everything the kids said today, then came home for lunch.
- watched What Not to Wear and Four Weddings
- visited SARAH and chatted with her (see previous post about Sarah & Olivia and my moping about never seeing them)
- opened my lovely gift from Olivia! Sarah got the bird and I got the cute little penguin!
Tiny picture from my phone
- went to the doctors for a follow-up about the headaches I had this summer (I haven't had many headaches, so I'm all clear for now!)
- bother my mom and Michael before finally going to Planet Fitness where I watched the History channel as I lazily/slowly biked for an hour and people-watched. Probably too relaxing for a gym trip.
- talked to Amy on the phone
- talked to Olivia on the phone to thank her for my gift and catch up!
- listened to the same songs over and over again because I can't take them off repeat. Here's a few of them:
Oh, and yesterday I Skyped with Anna and finished all my Christmas shopping with Monique in Portsmouth!!! So as you can see, I've pretty much see 80% of my friends in the past 2 days. Well, not really (I don't know why I said 80%) but I've loved talking with everyone :)
In the works:
- getting Coldplay tickets so Rachel and I can go see them in Boston on July 29, 2012! Might die of excitement.
- dragging my dad to the gym with me on Saturday because I have one free guest pass and he needs to see how buff I am (HAH)
- Christmas Eve services on Saturday!
So far, I have successfully accomplished the following on Christmas break over the past 2 days:
- slept until 12 on Thursday... and Friday...
- seen Michael play at his band/chorus concert
- wasted time on my computer
- listened to my CD from Gayle about a million times! :)
- TRIED to generally plan out my classes, possible study abroad, and other random stuff (I'm thinking about graduating a semester early...)
- worked at the Youth Center for a few hours playing four square with middle school boys
- babysat my favorite kids!
- organized my closet
- worked out a Planet Fitness. Once.
- joined Pinterest (I have yet to figure out how this works, though)
As you can see, I've been super productive (sarcastic). Hopefully I don't continue my habit of sleeping for 12+ hours every night--I'm thinking that maybe if I write that here it will make it happen because then I don't look back at my old posts and think oh, great, I still sleep until 1pm every afternoon even though I have nothing that should be making me as sleepy as I currently am.
Today I'm missing some of my very best friends, Sarah & Olivia. They're both living in the little city of Provo, Utah, while I'm in some unheard of town in Mass for the next week (then I'll go home, and I have a feeling that NH will be even FARTHER away from them!). Only by a few hours though. And according to Mapquest, it will take me 36 hours and 52 minutes to see them if I start driving now, so what's a few more hours if I start driving from New Hampshire? It's also 2045.28 miles... so I guess I could start running there now (but only if I upload some better songs on my iPod... because the 5 Rihanna songs I listen to while I run might not do the trick on mile #2040.
I need to buy some new sneakers if I'm running there. Or a new car! (hopefully you're reading this, Mom)
Anyways, Olivia recently got married this summer in August (I'm not sure if I can find any pictures of us from this but I'll try...). So she's living in Provo with Dalin. Sarah's going to BYU, and she'll be home for Christmas!!! :) Here's some pictures of us throughout high school. I'll try to get you a picture of Olivia and me in middle school sometime, but no promises.

I just realized that Olivia is probably in the middle of our picture 99% of the time because she's so short and if she was on the side it would make the picture slightly offbalanced ;) Anyways, I miss them a lot!
...just the sound of Megan chowing down candy and cookies as if she's not going to get any desserts AT ALL this Christmas season.
Thanksgiving break was great: ran errands with Mom and Emily, went to TJMaxx with Heather, Skyped with Amy (even though we were like 5 minutes away from each other), talked to Rachel, slept over at the grandparents', watched Netflix for hours, etc.
ALSO.... Gingerbread house construction with Monique & Gabe! I also got to meet "Beach Ball," Monique's guinea pig. It was an odd experience because he was quite mop-like but still weirdly cute with huge ugly bunny teeth.
