Day #18 in Orvieto

March 12, 2013 - Tuesday

Today in class, we chose which final project we would work on for the next two weeks. You could either choose a big drawing or a creative piece in the form of a "book." For the book group (this is obviously my group), we had to go out in the city and take pictures of stuff that looked like letters in the alphabet. Here are a few of my pictures! Letters T, Y, and A...

So we had to run around and take all these pictures, only to return to the classroom where Prof. Doll explained that we would make linoleum stamps with our letters. These stamps will be the print for our book - we aren't allowed to use our own handwriting! The second part of our homework was to write a story with 1001 characters (because this is what will fit in the finished book). It's kind of confusing but hopefully it'll make more sense once it starts to come together.

Also, my La Vida friend Amy and her friends came to visit Orvieto today! It was so great to see her although it was weird to see a familiar face (in addition to the same 20 people that I've seen for the past 18 days).
