Day #27 in Orvieto

March 21, 2013 - Thursday

Today we woke up early to clean the monastery (to prepare for the art show) and the palazzo (we are moving out of the palazzo completely). So one group went to the palazzo while my group stayed to clean the monastery. It took almost two hours because we only had one mop... but it was nice to clean everything up after living there for almost two weeks! We also got some new sheets which was really exciting. Like seriously, everyone was so excited about that. After a few cups of coffee, everyone was ready to start the critique in the studio. We started around 11am and had the book critique (there were ten books), had a quick lunch, then after lunch we had the drawing critique (there were ten drawings). We finally finished the critique around 5pm and then we had to get ready for the art show which started at 6:30! It was nice to just walk around and appreciate/talk about what everyone has been working on for the past week. The gallery was pretty fun because a lot of people from the town, friends of the program, came and there were some good snacks (which obviously makes everything better).
